Fremont, Niles, San Fran and Hard Girls!
Hello there! Let's just ignore the long absence and pretend I wasn't MIA for the past 6 months. Okay? Cool. Movin' on! Sean and I went up north the last weekend in June and it was probably one of the best trips I've had in a while! Maybe it's because I haven't traveled or left for any type of vacation in over a year. There's been a lot of craziness going on in my life, I don't even know where to begin. There's been a lot of change and movement these past 6 months, I can't believe how far I've come. I'm really proud of myself to be honest. Anywho. Sean and I originally went up north to see Hard Girls play their record release show but we made a few stops along the way. One of my best friends, Jenn, just moved up north and I wanted to pay her a tiny visit. We stayed with her in Fremont and she introduced us to the wonderful town of Niles. Niles had to be one of the many highlights of this trip. It was small, quaint and filled with antiquing stores. Niles was also known for Charlie Chaplin, supposedly. His face was plastered all over town. Everywhere we went, the image of his infamous cane, stache and hat were printed on shirts, dolls, magnets, books and just about every novelty item you could think of. It was amazing. After spending time with Jenn, we moved on to the big city. San Francisco. It was a journey getting there and actually navigating the city but we made it. It was awesome seeing the amazing views of San Francisco, what wasn't awesome was trudging through all the vertical hills throughout the city. We finally made it to the show and it was amazing! All the bands that played that night were awesome. Leer, Shinobu and Winter Break all did a solid job! Hard Girls blew us away! I got one video from the night but took a bunch of pictures :)

Parks and Dogs
Hello everybody! Time for another one of those sporadic posts. I was giving Rachel a haircut today and I had told her she should do some sort of photoshoot commemorating the change in her life. So we rushed to get ready and zoomed to the park for a spontaneous shoot. After weeks of hot temperatures and beautiful weather, California chose to give us a gloomy, cold and windy day. Nonetheless, we worked with what we got! It was still tons of fun! In the middle of the shoot, a super cute, playful dog roamed on over and decided he wanted his picture taken too! For the past week, I've been gradually changing Rachel's hairdo, I dyed and shaved it! Today, I gave her layers and texture. She says she feels like a whole new woman which is an awesome way to start 2014. For these pictures, I wanted a bit of change, but instead of chopping off my hair, I clipped them in. Extensions are just plain fun. I don't care if people think they're cheap or gross, I do it for my own weird amusement and no one else's. But, you can tell by the end of the shoot, how tired I grew of them so I ended up ripping them out.

Pizza + Horchata Recipes!
After a long week in the office, my Friday nights have usually consisted of renting a bunch of movies and making a homemade pizza. Sean and I have been following this tradition for way too long. I FINALLY decided to document this a while ago and FINALLY decided to post it. Yay. Sean and I share the same palette, so we like anything cheesy and anything that has tons of flavor. I love customizing our own pizzas together! I also decided to pair this pizza recipe with delicious horchata! Of course we had to make our own! The pairing of the delicious cheesy pizza and the sweet goodness of horchata is out of this world! So sit back and enjoy these quick recipes!
Start off by picking your favorite toppings, pizza sauce and your favorite package of yeast!
Pizza dough in the making!
We chose lean turkey sausage. It's puts a good bit of spice on the pizza.
Knead your dough for about 5 minutes.
Lay it out on your pizza pan.
We chose to put mozzarella, olives, parmesan, capers and sausage!
Before.
After.
Gather all of your ingredients. This works well with rice, almond or regular milk. I chose soy which was sweeter than I thought.
Begin by combining water and a cup of rice. Blend and let sit for 30 minutes.
Strain liquid.
Add half a cup of whatever milk you choose to use.
Add 2/3 a cup of sugar. You can totally control the sweetness of your own drink.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon.
Add 1/2 tablespoon of vanilla extract.
Miiiiiiiiiix.
Pour drink over ice and enjoy! ^_^
Here are all the movies we rented for that night! (RIP Blockbuster...)
